Dr. Wilson was elected for this award by hospital staff members and administration for outstanding collaboration and quality care.
Anita Vaughn, RN, Administrator and CEO of Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, stated that Dr. Wilson came highly recommended by various members of the staff. Nominations included statements such as:

Wilson is a native Memphian who has practiced with MOGA since 1994. He also worked in a smaller private practice for four years prior. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and his medical degree from East Tennessee State University.
In his spare time, Dr. Wilson enjoys golfing, fishing, and taking family vacations with his wife, son, and daughter.
