NationaLease Sales Meeting Prepares Attendees for 2013

Featured speaker Gary Petty discusses skill sets needed for evolving industry.

CHERRY HILL, NJ, December 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) NationaLease, one of the largest full service truck leasing organizations in North America, completed its 2012 Sales Meeting, held at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The annual meeting brought together sales representatives from NationaLease's 175 independently owned truck leasing companies to network, share insights, and review sales efforts. Attendees were offered sessions covering a wide variety of topics set to impact the industry in 2013, including trucking industry trends, legislative and economic updates, new engine and emissions technology, and updates on NationaLease programs and services.

This year's line-up included featured speaker Gary Petty, President and CEO of the National Private Truck Council; Dan North, Chief Economist of Euler Hermes ACI; Don Shaffer, President of Logistics Solution, Inc.; and Bill Bosco, Principal of Leasing 101. A highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Dr. Petty, detailing the upcoming regulatory and technological changes due to affect the industry, and what skill sets will be needed to compete in this new environment. Other notable sessions included a discussion on Information Technology and how customers want that information presented; a presentation on Selling Against the Competition; and an update from the NationaLease National Account team detailing their ongoing sales efforts, as well as the competitive landscape they face.
