CARY, NC, December 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) S&A Cherokee, an award-winning full-service communications company, has announced the promotions of Amy Mangels to design manager and Nancy Pardue to co-editor of Cary Magazine. Additionally, Christa Leupen has rejoined the company in a new role as events manager.
Mangels joined S&A Cherokee in 2006 and most recently served as senior graphic designer. In her new position, her expanded duties will include management of people and processes necessary in the development of design projects. Mangels' work history includes stints with The Cary News and Piedmont Press. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual communications from Cazenovia College.
Formerly a writer, columnist and news editor for The Daily Record in Dunn, N.C., Pardue joined S&A Cherokee in 2008 as editor of Triangle East, which was incorporated into a special section of Cary Magazine in 2011. She is a recipient of the North Carolina Press Association Award for business feature writing. Pardue earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication, with a concentration in print media, from Campbell University.
Leupen previously worked at S&A Cherokee as an account executive and editor from 2007 to 2010. In her new role, she will assist with special events and conferences organized by S&A Cherokee for its own media properties as well as for clients. Leupen has also worked as an account executive with Gibbs & Soell and as a freelance writer. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
