ZURICH, SWITZERLAND, December 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Swiss organization ICERTAS (International Certificate Association) has announced that is has formally changed its name to ICERTIAS - International Certification Association, in order to make it easier for international markets to recognize and accept the company's distinct identity and services.
The organization will continue its work in the certification industry, but considers this small change important to furthering the reach of its brand.
ICERTAS (now ICERTIAS) has performed a great deal of market research in 2012. Building on its expertise in researching products of all kinds, ICERTIAS reached out to 38 countries in five continents.
Each country was queried on how it understood the name "ICERTAS - International Certificate Association" vs. "ICERTIAS - International Certification Association".
The survey concluded that 32 out of 38 countries preferred the name ICERTIAS. Addressing the respondents' answers, the company has decided to make the small but significant change to its name.
ICERTAS (today ICERTIAS - www.icertias.com), founded in November 2011 in Zurich, Switzerland, was created to encourage testing and research organizations from different countries to work together.
The company also encourages international cooperation between current and new certification and promotes collaborative development of certification tools across national borders.
The organization is primarily focused on the global recognition and promotion of product quality and value. Operating from a consumer perspective, ICERTIAS educates local organizations to promote products and services tested to meet its high-quality standards, offer better value, and extend such quality to local and international markets.
Internationally, ICERTIAS is now most famous for its BestBuy Award (www.bestbuyaward.org) and QUDAL - QUality meDAL (www.qudal.com), both presented based on innovative and tested research.

French political ads get personal, but American campaigns are nastier

Political communications researcher Dr Jacob Groshek, together with co-investigators Noortje de Boer and Hannah Sütfeld, analysed 144 online campaign ads produced for more than 11 candidates during the 2012 French and American presidential elections, including the Republican primaries in the US.
The study found slightly more than 60% of American ads possessed a negative tone, compared to just 7% of French ads.
