Phoenix Plastic Surgery Practice Welcomes New Doctor

PHOENIX, AZ, December 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) Advanced Aesthetic Associates, a Phoenix plastic surgery practice, has added a new doctor, Robert Bajnrauh, M.D., to its roster.

Advanced Aesthetic Associates is known for having a team of highly skilled and experienced surgeons. Dr. Bajnrauh has fellowship training in microsurgery and craniofacial surgery. This background provides him with the ability to specialize in post-cancer reconstruction of the breasts, head, neck, soft tissues and skin.

Dr. Bajnrauh studied in Spain and received a bachelor's degree in history from University of California Los Angeles before earning his medical degree from Rush University School of Medicine in Chicago. Following residencies in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Michigan State University, he spent a year with Operation Smile, traveling around the world performing pediatric craniofacial surgery for children with birth defects.

Prior to joining Advances Aesthetic Associates, he completed a microsurgery and breast cancer reconstruction fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Usually performed directly after a mastectomy, DIEP breast reconstruction is an advanced procedure that uses the patient's own tissue while preserving the abdominal muscles.
