Ecology College Offers Free Certified Mold Remediator Online Training and Certification in Sandy-Affected Areas

Learn how to remove toxic mold growth from Sandy-damaged homes and commercial buildings by being trained and certified free as a Certified Mold Remediator.

2012-12-09
NEW YORK, NY, December 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Ecology College is training online and certifying individuals and company personnel in Sandy-affected areas as a Certified Mold Remediator for free (normally $299 tuition) until Dec. 25, 2012, if the student simultaneously enrolls and pays for training and certification as a Certified Mold Inspector ($299 tuition).

To make a high income as mold professional, individuals should be both a Certified Mold Inspector (to inspect and test homes and commercial buildings to find both visible and hidden toxic mold infestations) and a Certified Mold Remediator (to remove mold growth both safely and effectively and to prevent future mold problems).

"Tens of thousands of homes and other buildings in Hurricane-Sandy water damaged areas have toxic mold growth hidden inside floors, walls, ceiling, crawl spaces, basements, and heating/cooling equipment and ducts," commented Phillip Fry, Ecology-College training director, Certified Environmental Hygienist, Certified Ozone Professional, Certified Mold Inspector, and Certified Mold Remediator.

"Using bleach in mold removal is the biggest mistake property owners make because bleach does not kill mold and it only discolors mold growth. To kill and remove mold properly and effectively, property owners and mold professionals should use only EPA-registered fungicides such as Tim-Bor, in conjunction with high output ozone gas treatment," added Mr. Fry.

"Another big mistake in mold removal and mold remediation is the failure to find, kill, and remove all of the mold infestations hidden inside the home or building being remediated. The undiscovered and untreated mold can continue to grow and to mold cross-contaminate the home or building and its heating/cooling system," warned Mr. Fry.

The online training and certification at home or at work takes forty to sixty hours of intensive study of training materials. After completion of their mold training study, students take a written certification exam at their home or office.

For more mold training information, please phone Phillip Fry 1-480-310-7970, email phil@moldinspector.com, and visit the mold school's website http://www.ecology-college.com.

Ecology College provides online environmental training and certification worldwide, including education and training for students to be certified as a Certified Mold Inspector, Certified Mold Remediator, Certified Ozone Professional, and Certified Environmental Hygienist
