WRENTHAM, MA, December 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Power Sources Unlimited, Inc. announces the new and improved GRN-60 series of "green" power supplies featuring input protection dual fusing for line and neutral leads (-DF models).

These 2 x 3 compact, energy efficient power supplies comply with the energy saving requirements of the ErP (Energy Related Products) Directive, offering high efficiency (90% peak efficiency), high power density and low standby power. The GRN series is well suited to a broad range of medical, information technology, and industrial applications and are designed for those seeking to reduce standby and overall power consumption.

All GRN-60 models are 2MOPP (primary-to-secondary) and 1MOPP (primary-to-ground), operate from 85-264VAC input and feature over-voltage and over-power protection. CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, meets the EMC requirements of EN 61000-6-2 and EN 60601-1-2 and are safety certified to the UL, CSA and European versions of IEC 60950-1 (second edition) and ITE and IEC 60601-1 (second and third editions) medical standards. Available open frame or with an optional chassis and cover, the advanced SMT package is designed for convection and cooled applications allowing the GRN series to operate from 0°C to 70°C with suitable derating above 50°C.

Units are priced under $40 in OEM quantities. Prototypes are available in 2-4 weeks. Products are backed by a 2 year warranty.
