KATONAH, NY, December 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Katonah Art Center is hosting its first Holiday Craft Sale December 15th and 16th from 10am to 4pm at the Katonah Art Center. Featuring work from world-renowned artists on the Katonah Art Center's faculty, the sale will be a great place to find original, thoughtful and beautiful gifts for this holiday season.

"These gifts are so unique, it's guaranteed the recipient won't have one like it at home," says David Hughes, who is coordinating the event as well as presenting his work. "It's a great way to give someone a little taste of Westchester."

The art available for purchase shows off the diverse talents of the Katonah Art Center faculty. Cindy Sacks will be selling her watercolors; Martha Taylor will be selling her glass work; David Hughes will be selling his ceramics. There will also be handmade scarves and shawls, sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry, from Gwen Sargeant, Keith Yerger, Sue Clayton, Alex Ustin and Charlene Anderson. There is sure to be something for everyone.

Students will also have the opportunity to sell their work, showing off what they have learned while taking classes at the Katonah Art Center.

"As our teachers are all working artists, we love giving them opportunities to display and sell their work" adds Loren Anderson, Founder and Head of the Katonah Art Center. "And for our students, it's great for them to learn a little bit about the business side of the art world."

The Holiday Craft Sale will coincide with the Winter Open House on December 16 12-3pm. Participants can take a class from an artist and purchase some great examples of their teacher's work. For more information on the faculty, please go to http://katonahartcenter.com/Pages/faculty/faculty.htm.
