If you're going to host a voiceover industry event, you may as well invite the very best and most talented individuals in the voiceover industry. That's exactly what VoiceoverCity, LLC has done by making plans to host their 1st annual voiceover conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The event has been designed to educate, inspire, and connect voice-talent from around the country in a fun and exciting way.The idea to have the conference here in Atlanta started when VoiceoverCity founder, Gerald Griffith, notice the need to provide a way for voice-talent in the southeastern United States to connect and grow as a community without the need to travel to LA or New York. By holding the event in Atlanta, talent from all round the region could attend while taking advantage of affordable travel options, fine dining, and affordable hotel accommodations. Gerald is committed to making sure each person attending the event leaves with the knowledge needed to advance their career, a support structure to draw from, and the resources required to increase their chances of success in this challenging field.
The keynote speaker for the event is Pat Fraley; a pioneer in the voiceover industry with more than 40 years experience. Pat is one of the most sought after presenters around and VoiceoverCity is excited about having him as part of this event. The package includes a brand new computer, professional studio recording microphone, and a digital interface to tie it all together. Voice-talent will be able to submit their audition online for the chance to compete at the actual event. Only 25 will make the cut for a chance to compete in Atlanta. From there, only 5 will make it to the finals for a shot at the grand prize. A winner will be announced Sunday, March 24, 2013.
A portion of the proceeds from this conference will go to support the mission of the Georgia Radio Reading Service, GaRRS and their mission to provide recorded and live resources to the visually impaired through Georgia.
