Atlanta Orthopedic Surgeons OrthoAtlanta Offer Custom Orthotics

The Atlanta orthopedic doctors at OrthoAtlanta now offer custom designed orthotics, to keep your comfortable on your feet.

2012-12-13
NORCROSS, GA, December 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Atlanta orthopedic doctors at OrthoAtlanta offer custom designed orthotics, so you can be comfortable as you are up on your feet, without sacrificing the style of your own shoes.

At OrthoAtlanta, cutting edge technology is used to scan each of your feet individually (it is called a computerized pressure mapping system), to evaluate your body's unique pattern of weight distribution. This is done for both standing still and walking, to get a truly complete picture of what is going on with your feet.

With this knowledge, a custom set of orthotics can be designed for you with the goal of removing much of the pressure from the parts of your feet that are taking on too great of a load (and probably getting sore because of it).

"Around here, it is very apparent to us that each body is unique," explains Dr. Michael Behr, Atlanta orthopedic surgeon. "And that even two feet on the same body can differ quite a bit. That is way when we evaluate a patient for custom orthotics, each foot will be treated separately to be sure that each of your trouble spots is found and helped out."

Orthotics have the potential to make a huge difference in how comfortably you get around. While you could pick up a standard pair in any local pharmacy, these are most likely going to be simply an extra layer of padding, which may feel a bit better, but will not address any of your specific issues or work very well for injury prevention.

Is The U.S. Dollar Heading for Trouble?
2012-12-13
The United States once stood as a dominant country with a concrete money system, which inspired other countries to believe in and invest in our currency. Prior to 1971, the U.S. dollar was long recognized as an extremely valuable currency and was exchangeable for gold as part of the gold standard. However, people outside of the U.S. who had in their possession U.S. bills began taking advantage of their option to exchange the bills for gold. This was extremely dangerous for the economic stability of our country. Realizing the vulnerability of the United State's monetary ...
