HOLLYWOOD, FL, December 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Daniel L. Wambeke, Vice-President of SCAFCO Grain Systems Corporation, has been selected as an Executive Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Daniel L. Wambeke's commitment to excellence in Engineering.
Wambeke, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Wyoming, began working in his field in 1969. He has over forty years experience in design engineering and over thirty years experience listening to customers' needs and finding ways to satisfy them.
As vice-president, Wambeke is responsible for international sales and design engineering for business, both domestic and international. He oversees product development, structural design, development of foundation plans and designs, preparation of approval drawings and structural design calculations, shop drawings, among a host of other duties. He supervises a five-person project design and estimating staff.
"My father gave me an ethic for hard work and responsibility that drove me to provide the information and services required by clients and customers," Wambeke admits.
A registered professional engineer in Iowa, Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Alberta, and British Columbia, Wambeke is also active in numerous organizations within his field. He is a current member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, International Code Council, American Institute of Steel Construction, Grain Entrapment Prevention Committee, and Order of the Engineer. He is a member of the SE-202 Bulk Solids Storage Committee, SE-03 S&E Standards Committee, is the chair of the Grain Bin Manufacturer's Council Engineering Committee and the National Frame Builders Association, and is also committee chair and leading author of ASAE S412.1 Ladders, Cages, and Walkways. Daniel was elected to the membership grade of Fellow, of which, only two percent of ASABE's members can be fellows.
