YORK, ENGLAND, October 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) Superbreak, the theatre break specialist, has announced the exciting addition of the RSC's 'Matilda - A Musical' to their theatre break programme.
The adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic novel by Dennis Kelly, with music composed by Australian comedian Tim Minchin, is set to burst onto the stage on 9th November 2010 at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. The Yorkshire-based tour operator has already secured a number of hotel and ticket packages ahead of its opening and hopes the addition of this new musical to their theatre break programme will provide customers with an alternative to their extensive London theatre breaks.
Last year, thousands of passengers travelled to Stratford-on-Avon on a short break with many adding sightseeing passes and theatre tickets to their break. The tour operator hopes the addition of Matilda A Musical to their theatre breaks programme will only enhance their theatre break product. Superbreak's on-going relationship with the RSC and Courtyard Theatre in Stratford has allowed them to secure a range of hotel and ticket breaks catering for both for families and couples alike.
Head of Theatre at Superbreak, David Thomas, commented: "Matilda, a Musical is going to charm both parents and children, I'm confident it's going to be a huge hit. The RSC in Stratford is becoming increasingly popular with our theatre break customers who are more and more willing to venture out of the capital to see great theatre".
Theatre breaks have proven to be a big hit with Superbreak customers with over 150,000 passengers travelling to London on a theatre break in 2009 alone. Flexibility and choice are what helps set Superbreak apart in such a competitive market. Customers have the ability to make their stay longer, add a return rail journey and pick from a selection of sightseeing passes to ensure customers can create their own theatre break. The tour operator also offers a choice of hotels in and around Stratford itself to allow customers both choice and value whatever the budget.
