NEW BERN, NC, December 14, 2012 (Press-News.org) Fairfield Harbour (www.fhpoa.com), a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that Mystre' Van Horn, community manager, was recently named a Manager of Distinction by the Community Associations Institute's North Carolina Chapter (CAI-NC). The award recognition took place at CAI-NC's annual conference in October. Van Horn, who has served as Fairfield Harbour's community manager since 2011, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community as well as overseeing the communication between staff, owners, committee members, board members and local leaders. With a longstanding background in the real estate industry, she previously worked for Century 21 prior to joining Fairfield Harbour's professional management company, Community Association Services (CAS).
In addition to her involvement with CAI-NC, Van Horn works alongside a number of professional organizations, including the North Carolina Registered Parliamentarians (NCRP), the National Association of Registered Parliamentarians (NARP), National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM), Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialists (AMS).
QUOTES:
"The culture that has embedded itself into the community and residents of Fairfield Harbour is unlike any other, and much of that credit is due to the management and direction provided by Mystre'," said Larry Knapp, president of the Fairfield Harbour board of directors. "She is a true asset to this community and embodies the definition of a community manager. We are proud to have someone like her as a part of Fairfield Harbour, and we are pleased that she been recognized by the Community Associations Institute."
"I have always been a person of service, and much of that perspective has come from the examples of leadership that I have had throughout my lifetime," said Van Horn. "As the community manager of Fairfield Harbour, I am able to fulfill that role of service each and every day to developers, real estate agents, residents, owners and tenants, so to be recognized by CAI-NC as a Manager of Distinction is truly an honor."
