Maintenance Mania is a national competition where maintenance technicians compete against each other in skill-based games built around common maintenance activities. The competition includes a pinewood derby style car race where the cars are made out of maintenance supplies.
greeNEWit joins Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA), NAA and leaders of the multi-family community for this one-day event. greeNEWit's involvement comes as a result of being a leader in the Multi-Family Quick Home Energy Checkup Program (QHEC). This allows residential and multi-family homes to get energy and water saving upgrades that include the installation of energy efficient CFL light bulbs, aerators, low flow shower heads, hot water heat wraps and pipe insulation. Through this collaborative effort, greeNEWit has installed 260,057 compact fluorescent light bulbs to residences in the state of Maryland and are saving 13,958,633 kWh of energy and 312,193,972 gallons of water annually. With more than 25,000 multi-family units serviced this year, greeNEWit is the leader among BGE contractors.
