Marino began working in retail during her school years for A&S. During this time, she realized that she had a true passion for the field. Knowing that they had an excellent training program, she continued with them after graduating college and found herself excelling and progressing into multiple management positions. Her experience provided her with guidelines and expertise she has today.
Having held key executive positions with leading retailers and brands, Marino explains, "It was based upon the ability to understand how to develop brands that enabled me to progress to international business development, heading up global offices in over forty-five countries with oversight for buying and retail operations."
Marino not only gives back to the industry, but also within her local community. She has served for nonprofit boards as chairman emeritus for the Cotton Board, The Foundation Board of FIT, Board of the National Girl Scouts, Retail Marketing Society Board, and the Fashion Group Board. She is a leader at Gerson Lehman Group, is a lecture speaker for Santa Clara University for International Operations and Retail, is an adjunct professor at FIT for the Fashion Merchandising Department, and has been named Woman of the Year in 2001 through FIT for her contribution to the industry.
