All-Pro Science Extends Supplement Contracts For Three Major League Soccer Greats

(APS) is proud to announce that Andrew Jacobson, Zach Thornton and Alec Dufty have all signed on for another two years as APS sponsored athletes known as TEAM APS. TEAM APS includes top athletes such as Bryan Gaul of the 2012 MLS Champions LA Galaxy, Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies, and Stacie Tovar, the #12 female Crossfitter in the world. APS Athletes are not paid endorsers of the product. The athletes themselves often approach the company in hopes of being part of the All-Natural message.

Andrew Jacobson plays for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer. He attended Gunn High School, where he was named 2003 Central Coast Section Player of the Year, and played college soccer at UC Berkeley from 2003 to 2006, where he was named to the all Pac-10 team three times. Andrew was the 24th overall pick in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft, and the first pick by D.C. United. Instead of playing in MLS, Jacobson chose to sign a contract with Lorient of France's Ligue 1. He returned to MLS in 2009, and was allocated to the team which originally drafted him, D.C. United. Jacobson was selected by Philadelphia Union in the 2009 MLS Expansion Draft in November of 2009. He was traded to FC Dallas in February of 2011.

Zach Thornton is a retired African American goalkeeper who spent sixteen seasons in Major League Soccer (MLS) with the New York/New Jersey MetroStars (1996-1997), Chicago Fire (1998-2006), Colorado Rapids (2007), New York Red Bulls (2008) and Chivas USA (2008-2011). He was the starting goalkeeper for the Fire when it won MLS Cup '98 in its inaugural year.
Thornton is currently the goalkeeping coach for both the men's and women's soccer programs at Elizabethtown College. He also works on a part-time volunteer basis in a similar capacity with the men's soccer team at his alma mater Loyola University Maryland.

Alec Dufty is a retired soccer player and a Volunteer Coaching Assistant for the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dufty grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and played college soccer at Appalachian State University and the University of Evansville, where he was an All-Missouri Valley Conference selection in his final two years. During his college years Dufty also played with Raleigh Elite in the USL Premier Development League. Dufty was signed by the New York Red Bulls in March of 2009. In May 2009 he was called up by Columbus Crew to provide cover for Andy Gruenebaum while Will Hesmer was out injured. In February 2010, he signed for new founded USSF D2 Pro League club AC St. Louis. And in March of 2011, Dufty signed a contract with Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.
