Accomplished Optometrist Joins New Jersey Eye Care Practice

PRINCETON, NJ, December 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) The team at Outlook Eyecare is happy to welcome Michael R. Trottini, O.D., to their team of New Jersey optometrists and ophthalmologists.

Dr. Trottini's diverse background makes him a leader in the treatment of ocular disorders such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and inflammatory and infectious eye diseases. He comes to Outlook Eyecare from Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Maryland, where he was responsible for managing and treating ocular emergencies and pathologies. In addition, Dr. Trottini has done extensive clinical research, focusing primarily on the safety and efficacy of various eye solutions and products used in vision care.

"We are so glad to have Dr. Trottini joining our New Jersey optometry and ophthalmology practice," says Dr. Wayne Grabowski, founder of the practice, which has offices in Princeton and Monroe Township. Dr. Trottini earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he later became an adjunct faculty member. He served his residency in ocular disease at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates in Maryland. He is certified by the National Board of Examiners of Optometry and has also taught at New England College of Optometry.

"Besides my work with patients, I find it extremely rewarding to teach optometry," Dr. Trottini says. "In addition sharing my knowledge and experience with upcoming young doctors, teaching keeps me up to date and on new developments in eye care."

A believer in serving his community, Dr. Trottini often performs diabetic eye disease screenings and other vision checks for the public.

"As diabetes continues to rise, public awareness of diabetic eye disease becomes increasingly important," he says. "The sooner we diagnose it, the more successful treatment can be."
