Polymet Remodels Trade Show Look

Polymet Corporation, a manufacturer of wire for hardfacing, welding, and thermal spraying, has modified the way they exhibit at trade shows.

2012-12-23
CINCINNATI, OH, December 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) Trade shows are a very common platform for Polymet in regards to marketing. The company exhibits at roughly 5-6 shows per year, half of which are international. Polymet utilizes trade shows to not only target new business development, but to also meet with existing customers and distributors. In small, niche industries such as hardfacing and thermal spraying, exhibitors and attendees alike tend to frequent many of the same shows.

With such an emphasis on exhibiting at trade shows, Polymet has focused on remodeling their presentation. They have taken a strategic approach to properly display their manufacturing capabilities, their high performance wire products, and the industries that use their products. Pete Humphries, Marketing Manager at Polymet, says "In the past, our graphics and overall theme were inconsistent. At the end of the day, we are a wire manufacturer - we needed to highlight this and convey how pronounced our quality and capabilities really are." Polymet will vary their exhibition depending on the type of show, the location, and the audience.

"While we are excited about the changes to our overall exhibition strategy, we understand that it will be an ongoing process. The industries we serve continue to change and we need to reflect those changes in how we market our company," says Pete. Polymet's next scheduled show isn't until the Spring of 2013 at the International Thermal Spray Conference in Busan, South Korea.
