TAMPA, FL, December 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) On Nov. 30, 2012, Tampa-based Beef 'O' Brady's presented members of the American Red Cross with a check for $10,781 in an effort to help those in the Northeast recover from the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Beef 'O' Brady's mission to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy was a result of a cumulative effort from its generous franchise partners. On Thursday, Nov. 1 2012, participating Beef 'O' Brady's restaurants donated an average of 10 percent of the day's earnings to the American Red Cross. Roughly 60 Beef 'O' Brady's franchise partners participated in the promotion.
"Since the company's inception, our franchise partners have made significant efforts to entrench themselves within their communities through volunteer efforts, outreach and involvement,"said Chris Elliott, CEO of Beef 'O' Brady's. "When the storms hit the Northeast, we fielded dozens of calls from concerned franchisees who wanted to lend a hand to those impacted most from the storms. We're proud of our franchise partners and honored to partner with an organization that does so much good for so many."
In addition to donating to the American Red Cross, earlier this year, Beef 'O' Brady's named the Wounded Warrior Project as its primary beneficiary and kicked off the partnership with a $25,000 donation.
