Paragon Commercial Bank Promotes Matt Davis To Chief Operating Officer

Davis responsible for overseeing Paragon's daily operations, credit administration and compliance efforts

RALEIGH, NC, December 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) Paragon Commercial Bank (http://www.paragoncommercial.com) has announced that Matt Davis has been named the bank's chief operating officer. In this position, Davis is responsible for overseeing the bank's day-to-day operations, credit administration and compliance. Prior to his new position, Davis served as Paragon's chief credit officer for the past ten years.

Before joining Paragon, Davis worked as a corporate banker for Wachovia Bank in Charlotte with a marketing emphasis on operating companies between $10 and $100 million in revenue. In 1996, a career move took him to work for Bob Hatley, Paragon President and CEO, at Centura Bank in Cary, N.C., as a commercial account officer focused on lending to commercial business and real estate.

Davis is involved with local Rotary Clubs, Habitat for Humanity and the Community Investment Corporation of the Carolinas (CICCAR). In addition, he has served as vice president and board member for the Risk Management Associates, Inc. local chapter.

He obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Science in Business Management from NC State University. Originally from Louisburg, N.C., Davis resides in Raleigh with his wife and three children.
