Rockingham Motors in Salem NH Donates Money for The Animal Rescue League
2012-12-30
SALEM, NH, December 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) Every nice car needs a faithful pet in the backseat to go for a purely awesome joyride. But who would have thought that a local Salem, NH car dealership, Rockingham Motors would head up a fundraiser to help a local animal shelter? As one of Salem's most caring animal rescues, The Salem Animal Rescue League specializes in finding orphan pets loving and caring homes.

However, The Salem Rescue League has a 100 % spay/neuter policy and they are in need of a new anesthesia machine to help assist with larger animals. That's why Rockingham Motors is donating 1% of all parts and service sales to the shelter. Rockingham Motors is a family owned car dealership specializing in the sale of new and pre-owned Honda, Toyota and Scion branded vehicles serving Salem, NH and other close by regions. The 1% donation will include expenses for a much needed anesthesia machine for the shelter to purchase. Rockingham Motors is also accepting any and all pet donations for the shelter which can be brought to either the Rockingham Toyota Scion or Rockingham Honda dealership location.

According to the shelter's Manager of Media Relations, the machine currently used by the rescue league was purchased as a refurbished piece of machinery several years ago. Since then, after hiring a new DVM that is able to perform more in house surgeries on larger pets, the shelter has found that they need a new machine to accommodate these new undertakings. This is where Rockingham Motors steps in to do their part and help the organization.

As larger pets were previously sent out to other local vets for surgery, the old machine still being used can currently be used with smaller cats and dogs. The shelter is now able to perform more surgeries however, including dental. For this reason, a better and bigger anesthesia machine will be much appreciated, and with the generous donation efforts of Rockingham Motors hopefully more pets will be seen in those backseats.
