One Year and Three Books Later.....chef Michael Bennett is publishing his third book.

Author and Chef - Michael Bennett has become a powerhouse book publisher. In the last year he has produced and published two cookbooks with the third ready for publishing this Winter.

2010-08-21
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, August 21, 2010 (Press-News.org) Chef Michael Bennett has become a noted local South Florida chef and author. This year alone he has produced two 180 plus page cookbooks, participated in five charity and, four showcase culinary events.

He has placed his books at retail stores and online at Barnes and Noble bookstores. They are being retailed through Amazon.com, BigAlley.com and through his own website (www.foodbrats.com) - a Amazon sub-company. He has also developed a wholesale distribution network that supplies retail book marketing at an assortment of South Florida Culinary schools, gift stores, gourmet and seafood markets.

This author has been practicing in the Food Arts for more than 20 years. Of course, in South Florida, you have to be unique to create a stir so, Chef Michael Bennett has produced a new food genre that exemplifies South Florida cookery. "Caribb-ican" cuisine is said to be "New World Cuisine" revisited. Michael describes it as preparing American (sea)foods with a Caribbean twist.

After his four year culinary journey throughout the Caribbean he had returned to South Florida to tempt others to follow his lead. During this march he created two Tropical-cookery cookbooks; "In the Land of Misfits, Pirates and Cooks" ISBN: 9780615297781 and "Underneath a Cloudless Sky" ISBN: 9780615328775 to expose this cookery styling to his peers and the inquisitive masses. His next book "Crafting a Cuisine" - is one that details the processes and ideals behind the creation of a culinary trend. Since the age of New World Cuisine, chef Michael Bennett has been noting the ideals of local chefs and developed his formulaic "syllabus" ~ of crafting of a new cuisine.
