RALEIGH, NC, January 09, 2013

The Greater Raleigh-Durham Chapter 105 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) announced their officers for 2013 at their Annual Officer Installation held on November 14th at The Angus Barn. The 11-member board is comprised of the following real estate professionals:

President-Elect - Crystal Hall, CPM
Treasurer - Tammie Rhodes, CPM Candidate
Secretary - Chris Stigall, CPM

Counselor - Brenda Brantley, ARM /CPM Candidate

Immediate Past President - Jason Stowe, CPM

This will be Triplett's second consecutive year serving as President of the Greater Raleigh-Durham Chapter. Triplett currently serves as the Assistant Director of Multifamily Management with Drucker and Falk, where he has been employed since 1996. Triplett has been in the real estate industry since 1994 and received his CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation in 2007. Triplett has remained active in IREM, having served on the Executive Board in a number of positions: Counselor in 2008, Secretary in 2009, Treasurer in 2010, President-Elect in 2011, President in 2012 and now, President in 2013.

Under Triplett's leadership in 2012, IREM Chapter 105 raised $2,000 for four different charities through the organization's annual President's Challenge Golf Tournament: Jessica Breland Comeback Kids Pediatric Cancer Fund, Prayers for Joe Krahe, Nathan Rimpf (a double amputee wounded while serving his country), and Harrison's Heroes. Chapter 105 also presented a number of successful monthly meetings which featured businessman Smedes York, motivational speaker Coach Billy Lee of UNC Women's Basketball, and Chapter staple Brian Reece of Karnes Research who provided his annual market forecast. The Chapter also attended the Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. where officers met with Senators and Congressmen to discuss legislative issues and achieved Five Star Status for the fifth consecutive year. Triplett says that he is pleased to be serving for an additional year and promises Chapter membership some "surprises" in 2013.

"This year was undoubtedly a tough year for the Chapter given the continued sluggish economy," explains Triplett. "Given the fact that most companies and employees have had to cut back on expenses, our membership has certainly felt these effects. However, IREM is and continues to be the best resource for the real estate professional. This year, we'll be working even harder to provide meaningful membership meeting experiences as well as more opportunities to our membership. We've got a great team on board this year and we're excited about the prospects for the coming year. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to continue to serve this wonderful organization and to work with these amazing professionals."
