Right Sized Detroit Area Man Creates a Much Needed Children's Book

Detroit Metro man right sized from his job has written a children's book dealing with a child's struggle finding a place to fit in. The book is in the fundraising process through February 6, 2013.

WYANDOTTE, MI, January 11, 2013 (Press-News.org) Jerry Kirkendoll, a resident of Wyandotte, Michigan, has written a children's book that deals with a child's struggle to find a place in life to fit in. The book is titled Hark, Harold the Angel Sings. The book is in the fundraising process on Kickstarter.com through February 6, 2013 at 3:30pm EST.

Jerry expects that his book will help children realize that they have a place in life. Also, it is his hope that the book will help parents realize that children's fears are not unfounded. He hopes that the book will remind parents how they felt as children and use that renewed memory to help their children with the issue of fitting in.

Jerry spent many years working with children and teenagers on a ministerial level. From 1997 to 2007 he worked with the families of many children and teens both in the office and in their homes. Jerry helped many families work through the issues that children and teens face on a daily basis.

Since being right sized from his job in Downtown Detroit in 2012 Jerry has decided to turn his focus toward his greatest passion, writing. Jerry has done freelance work as well as short story and book writing. His current project Hark, Harold the Angel Sings, is now in the funding process. Hark, Harold the Angel Sings is a children's story dealing with a child's struggle to find a place in life to fit in. Harold the Angel is a lovable, caring & cheerful character that seems to fail at fitting in anywhere. Every time he attempts to be a part of a group Harold makes a mistake that causes him to leave that group feeling shunned. Eventually, Harold discovers that there is a place for him to belong. He just has to hold on and not give up.
