HOUSTON, TX, January 14, 2013 (Press-News.org) On Saturday, January 5, 2013, FYI Houston celebrated their 2nd online magazine launch: Winter Edition 2013; hosting their 1st magazine launch party with great success! As Houston's source from the underground, the purpose of the event was to: officially launch their newest issue, generate donations from supporters, creatively promote the online magazine and affiliated talent, as well as, establish a solid network for people in Houston's entertainment industry.
This event was held at the G-Spot Sports Lounge with attendance totaling about 50 guests. Multiple artists performed including MarQuis Trill, Byron Bank, GQ Marley, Duce, Boobe Trap, and H - Lew; where each artist performed 2 - 3 songs, and also partook in the freestyle battle. The charitable event was hosted by Model Erin Nicole, and included free entry, free tequila shots, plus drink specials all night. A large part of the night was devoted to artists' performances and freestyle "cyphers" where artists and guests battled it out for cash and novelty prizes.
The staff elected to video record artists' performances, battles, exclusive dance footage and interviews with guests, artists, and staff. All artists said they really enjoyed themselves, and all guest's feedback relayed that they also had a great time. The crowd showed the performers a lot of love and support throughout the night and the days following the launch party. With the launch being so successful, FYI Houston's staff looks forward to launching the Spring 2013 Issue.
