Dimetix USA to Show Laser Sensors at Promat 2013

Dimetix USA announces that it will be participating at PROMAT 2013 Booth #137 during Jan 21-24 in Chicago, IL, USA. PROMAT is a premier international material handling trade event. The Dimetix line of laser sensors will be displayed along with applications specific to the material handling industry. Dimetix will highlight the new capabilities of its FLS-C Laser Distance Sensor used in high speed gantry crane and material handling applications.

The FLS-C Laser Distance Sensor can measure position at a fixed rate of 200 Hz. over a range of 500 meters and output this position to motion control devices using SSI encoder output.

The FLS-C Distance Sensor consists of a rugged IP 65 standard aluminum case enabling operation at - 40 to + 50 degrees C ambient temperatures. This laser distance sensor is designed for use both indoors and outdoors and in harsh, industrial environments such as aluminum, copper, paper, steel, and saw mills.

Typical Applications for the FLS-C Series Laser Distance Sensor include Overhead crane positioning, Elevator positioning, Level measuring in silos, Parking garage beam locations, Vehicle locations, Altitude measurements, Steel Slab thickness, and measurement of Wood products for width, thickness and length as well as for measuring width and diameter of Paper roll products in converting mills.
