BLUE BELL, PA, January 21, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Kenneth Siegel is proud to announce that Dental Excellence of Blue Bell has added Tekscan technology to help guide occlusal adjustments and ensure more effective treatments for their patients.
For years, Siegel's office has served patients in the Philadelphia area by providing high quality general and cosmetic treatments; however, the addition of Tekscan's T-Scan III will promote greater occlusal analysis results, thanks to increased accuracy and efficiency.
"The T-Scan is an amazing, handheld diagnostic device that provides computerized occlusal analysis," Siegel said. "It has the ability to automatically record a patient's bite force dynamics, including occlusal timing, location and force. Instead of qualifying an occlusal adjustment by asking patients how things feel, we are able to rely on a more accurate computerized analysis, which gives us more control over the treatment process."
Developed at MIT and Tufts University, T-Scan's patented sensor technology offers several benefits: For the patient, it leads to reduced treatment times and improved care. For the practitioner, it provides improved efficiency and accuracy, while also serving as an excellent patient educator.
"With T-Scan, patients are able to view their bites on a digital screen," Siegel said. "This helps them understand why they need treatment, and allows us to better explain what each procedure is meant to accomplish."
Compact in size, T-Scan is easily moved from room to room. It quickly connects to a desktop or laptop computer and can be used to assist in a variety of dental treatments, including orthodontics, dentures, occlusal adjustments, fixed prosthetics, TMD appliances, periodontal management and more.
"T-Scan is an example of how advancing technology is allowing dentistry to reach the next level of efficiency, which helps to improve patient comfort and overall care," Siegel said. "At Dental Excellence of Blue Bell, we aim to stay ahead of the curve by integrating new technologies as they become available. Our primary goal is to provide top-tier general and cosmetic dental care for every single patient, and we will continue to invest in the latest technologies to help us achieve that objective."
Dental Excellence of Blue Bell has been serving the Blue Bell area of Philadelphia for more that 25 years offering cosmetic dentistry, TMJ treatment, dental sleep medicine, Strickland Facelift Dentures, and more. The move by the consumer watchdog comes following a growing number of concerns from MPs and debt campaigners about how the easy availability of high interest loans is pushing individuals into a vicious debt cycle from which they find it almost impossible to get out of.
Payday loans are a multi-billion pound industry in the UK and grew rapidly when the concept was first introduced from the US a few years ago. Scotland in particular has the highest level of payday loans in the UK, and the OFT is now beginning to scrutinise how they are being sold.
