MetaCommunications Grows In Chicago Area, Adds Local Engineering and Implementation Services

Strong growth in the Chicagoland Tri-State Area Prompts Expansion of Regional Support

2010-10-20
IOWA CITY, IA, October 20, 2010 (Press-News.org) MetaCommunications (www.metacommunications.com), maker of project management software and collaboration tools for creative industries, today announced that it has appointed Cliff Lewis to lead and direct the expansion of the company's presence in the Chicagoland Tri-State region. The appointment reflects recent strong growth for MetaCommunications software in the Chicagoland and greater Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin Tri-State regions.

"We've seen tremendous growth in the area on top of an already-large customer base there," said Robert T. Long, President of MetaCommunications. "Over the past few months we've added over a dozen accounts in this region. As they start to emerge from the late recession, businesses are increasingly turning to us to help them become more efficient and productive as a precursor to adding additional staff."

Existing customers in the region include Crate and Barrel, Carson Pirie Scott, The Caps Group, Medline, Lawson Products and dozens more innovative retail, creative services, printing and packaging companies.

Lewis, who works with many of these customers in the capacity of a MetaCommunications Professional Services Engineer, sees the position as the next natural step in response to a growing customer base in the area. "I've worked the past few years in professional services, and the 9 years preceding that as a production manager and as the administrator of a MetaCommunications Workgroups project management system at a regional creative and prepress firm." He continued, "I have experience with the software, the industries, and I'm centrally located in the region so that MetaCommunications can easily be on site when needed."

In addition to continuing his professional services work and providing new sales support, Lewis will also take the lead in organizing MetaCommunications' sponsorship of a Chicagoland MetaCommunications Software Users' Group Meeting. "We already have several customers starting to plan their first meeting," he said. "MetaCommunications is committed to sponsoring them and will definitely have a presence there."
