BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND, January 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) Managing Director of GM Business Communications, Luke Mayes journeyed down the M1 this weekend to attend an annual award ceremony for budding entrepreneurs at London's Royal Festival Hall.
The ceremony featured established business men and women from around the world, featuring speakers from South Africa, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the USA, as well as guests from the UK. "These award ceremonies are a great insight into the business world, and it's really difficult not to be motivated and inspired by industry experts who have already walked a successful path" says Luke Mayes, Managing Director of GM Business Communications.
Based in the Royal Festival Hall, around 2000 up and coming entrepreneurs watched as industry experts picked up a variety of awards, ranging from high levels of customer service to most profitable business. "I'm looking forward to next year's event, as it's my goal for 2013 to be picking up one of these awards for myself" says Luke Mayes, Managing Director of GM Business Communications.
The Royal Festival Hall is at the heart of the Southbank Centre complex. Opened in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain, the Grade I listed Hall is one of the world's leading performance venues. As well as the auditorium, there is The Clore Ballroom, the Spirit Level, (including Blue, White and Yellow Rooms) Southbank Centre Shop, Riverside Terrace Cafe, Central Bar and Skylon restaurant. It provided a wonderful setting for the award ceremony. "From the lighting to the acoustics every part of the auditorium helped create a fantastic atmosphere for the ceremony and really contributed to the experience," says Luke Mayes managing Director of GM Business Communications.
Based on the reception of the crowd all the guest speakers where well received, and many looked inspired at the great information and stories told by the speakers. "It's nice to know that successful people have had ups and downs like all of us, and it gives me great confidence in the running of my business for 2013," states Luke Mayes, Managing Director of GM Business Communications.

According to an analysis by RealtyTrac, the latter part of 2012 brought in a 21.24 percent decline in Texas foreclosure filings from the previous year. The numbers equated to one foreclosure for every 1,295 homes in the state.
