Chef Eric Gephart Of The Chef's Academy To Participate In 22nd Annual Taste Of The NFL Feb. 2

Lead Chef Instructor Represents Local Culinary Institution Alongside Top Chefs And NFL Players In Super Bowl's Annual "Party With A Purpose "

RALEIGH, NC, January 27, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 110-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced that Chef Eric Gephart, lead chef instructor at The Chef's Academy's North Carolina campus, will participate in the Taste of the NFL's annual "Party With A Purpose " on Saturday, Feb. 2. in New Orleans. Taste of the NFL, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combat hunger in America, will host its 22nd annual fundraising event at the Ernst N. Morial Convention Center, located at 900 Convention Center Blvd.

"Party With A Purpose ", a strolling food and wine event, pairs chefs and professional football players representing each NFL team, and benefits food banks in NFL cities nationwide. More than 35 stations, one representing each NFL city, will provide fabulous food and wine pairings for sampling by guests. Each year, the net proceeds from the event are donated to Feeding America-affiliated food banks in each of the NFL cities, with an emphasis on the Super Bowl host city's food bank.

Chef Gephart, along with entire student body at The Chef's Academy's Indianapolis campus, participated in "Party With A Purpose " in 2012. This year, he will be teamed up with a representative from one of the NFL teams, representing The Chef's Academy and the Raleigh-Durham area.

Miss America 2013, Mallory Hagan, will make one of her first public appearances at the "Party With A Purpose " fundraising event. Throughout the event, she will be on hand to welcome guests, pose for photos, and sign autographs. Formerly Miss New York, Hagan was crowned Miss America on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the 92nd Annual Miss America Competition in Las Vegas. The Miss America Organization has been a longtime supporter of Taste of the NFL, providing a national platform to raise awareness of the critical issue of hunger. Additionally, the fundraiser will include live entertainment and special guest appearances by Andrew Zimmern of the Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods and Mauro Castano and Joey Faugno, stars of TLC's Cake Boss.
