NEW YORK, NY, January 27, 2013 (Press-News.org) Substituting the cookbooks for agenda books with diabolical plans to take over the world, millennial women are left with one question: How can we make them happen? HerAgenda.com tapped 4 power women from different industries to share the journey.
Pooling information and resources from HerAgenda.com, young female leaders have found that the answer lies somewhere between mentorship and networking. Her Agenda brings some clarity and structure on how to guide that inner light in its upcoming panel discussion: "The Making of Her Agenda—Mentors, Milestones, & Motivation".
"For National Mentoring Month, I wanted to have an intimate conversation with powerful women who have made strides in their careers and women who are at the beginning of theirs. In a world filled with so many negative images of women, it's all too important to showcase positive role models and to provide a platform for mentorship, a key component of success," says Her Agenda's Founder Rhonesha Byng.
"The Making of Her Agenda" seeks to connect powerful women with the young women they inspire and to shed light on the endless career possibilities for which women often go overlooked through meaningful conversation. The panel will allow young leaders to hear about each power woman's road to success firsthand and to get some Q&A time with the panelists.
Panelists include Alia M Jones-Harvey - Olivier Award Winning Broadway Producer, Lora Lesage - Senior VP of Digital Media for NBC-owned local stations, Lauren Scala - Reporter at WNBC & New York Live, and Marvet Britto - President & CEO at The Britto Agency.
"When we support the growth and empowerment of women and girls, we raise the quality of life for everyone. This is because when women lead they not only lead businesses, they lead in their community, they fight for their children, and they give voice to issues that are important to our collective future," says Tabby Biddle, women's leadership expert and author of The Goddess Diaries. Her Agenda hopes to bridge the gap between the young professional woman and seasoned veterans.
The panel discussion is set to take place on Thursday, January 31st from 6-9pm at 15 Broad Street, New York, NY 10005. RSVP @ RSVP@heragenda.com.
