WARWICKSHIRE, ENGLAND, February 01, 2013 (Press-News.org) X2 Computing, a leading global provider of mobile computing solutions, has launched Carbon X220G, a new tablet computer for bingo and other gaming applications. Compatible with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, enables operators to run slots on the device without needing to rewrite existing applications or manage multiple versions of software. Uniquely, this new device can be specified with an illuminated LED bezel that can be programmed to light up or flash when a player wins.

X2's Carbon X220G tablet is powered by an Intel Atom N2600 1.6GHz processor with up to 2GB DDR3 SDRAM and up to 128GB SSD storage. It is IP54 rated with a 10.1" widescreen LED touchscreen display and features an integrated graphics processor that delivers high quality images at up to 1200 x 800 resolution in either landscape or portrait formats. The display options support capacitive multi touch or resistive single touch. Importantly, the device has been designed so it cannot be turned on or off by users and can also be specified without external ports to eliminate the possibility of user interference. Carbon directly connects to networks using 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless with enterprise encryption.
The rugged gaming tablet has a built-in handle and kick stand and includes a large lithium polymer battery that allows up to 12 hours use between charges. A fast charge mode can be used to cope with multi-session gaming periods reducing the time required for charging the devices.
With dimensions of 325x197x27.8mm and weighing in at just 1.25kg, Carbon X220G is also slimmer and lighter making it easier to handle and use on the move. The device can also be enhanced with the addition of an illuminated corporate or product logo presenting additional revenue generation opportunities.
X2 Computing provides a wide range of options to enhance functionality including 3G, NFC for quick and easy customer payments and RFID and GPS for security tracking applications. Custom charging solutions are also available including PowerCRATE, which simultaneously charges up to 20 devices.
