William "Bill" Geller Named Realtor of the Year by the Sarasota Association of Realtors

Geller is a Broker-Associate with RE/MAX Platinum Realty's Sarasota Office

SARASOTA, FL, February 01, 2013 (Press-News.org) William "Bill" Geller, a Broker-Associate with RE/MAX Platinum Realty's Sarasota office, was recently named Realtor of the Year by the Sarasota Association of Realtors (SAR). He was nominated by his peers for his contribution to the association and the community.

"No one is more deserving for this award," said Broker-Owner Bryan Guentner. "We are proud of his achievement and are honored that a person of his caliber chooses to be affiliated with RE/MAX Platinum Realty."

A real estate professional for more than 20 years, Geller was 2009 President of SAR and chaired the association's Global Business Council in 2012. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) as well as countless committees on both the local and state levels. He was a past president and board member of the Brazil-Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Rotary Club of Sarasota Sunset, and three-term president of the Siesta Key Association. He currently volunteers as an instructor of small business classes at the Women's Resource Center, and is involved with other local community organizations.

Prior to his real estate experience, Geller held staff positions at the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, including General Manager and Director of Membership. He holds the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) and Transnational Referral Certification (TRC) designations.
