Brentano's Symphonic Collection Creates Visual Representations of Songs

Introduction of new residential, contract, and hospitality textiles

2013-02-02
WHEELING, IL, February 02, 2013 (Press-News.org) Before developing the Symphonic collection, Brentano Design Director Iris Wang reflected on time spent teaching art to children where she played music and asked them to illustrate the sounds of melodies. Moved by their creations, Brentano's spring 2013 collection focuses on the beauty of a classical symphony. Symphonic embodies the emotions of music to create visual representations of song. By seeking to emphasize sensation rather than form, Symphonic offers 19 romantic patterns that provide a range of harmonious textiles for residential, contract, and hospitality interiors.

In a collection inspired by the beauty of a classical symphony, Brentano's new, romantic patterns provide a range of harmonious textiles for residential, contract, and hospitality interiors. Coloratura, a stunning abstract upholstery, voided-velvet Marimba, and polished Gliss are all durable enough for commercial applications but sophisticated enough for residential spaces. The luxurious Medley is purely residential, with a luxe hand from a combination of chenille yarns that create a subtly playful zigzag pattern.

The 100% viscose upholstery Tempo is also ideal for residential environments, combining an elegant, two-tone epingle pile with a satin weave in the ground to create a dramatic, geometric pattern. This unique construction has a boutique quality, making the 52" upholstery perfect for a special accent or a bold statement piece.

About Brentano:
Founded in 1990 by Design Director Iris Wang and her husband, President E-Kwan Chen, Brentano has grown from a modest beginning of eight patterns to an internationally represented textile house. Brentano's fabrics stem from Wang's philosophy of balancing beauty + performance. Their growing collection of eco-fabrics expands this ideology by demanding textiles meet thoroughly researched standards of environmental consciousness while maintaining their beauty. Having celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2010, Brentano continues to offer a variety of innovative and interesting textiles, including eco-friendly faux leather, high performance upholstery, fire-resistant, outdoor, Crypton, Nano-Tex and GreenShield fabrics.
