One Beat CPR Proudly Sponsors Tour de Broward Benefitting Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital

Tour de Broward Aims to Raise $300,000 for the Pediatric Cardiac Center on Sunday, February 24th at Miramar Regional Park

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, February 06, 2013 (Press-News.org) One Beat CPR is proud to sponsor the 4th Annual Tour de Broward benefitting the Pediatric Cardiac Center at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. During the event on February 24th, participants can choose to ride, run, walk with family and friends and will enjoy live entertainment, heart-healthy activities and refreshments.

In their second year sponsoring Tour de Broward, One Beat CPR aims to continue their mission of making Broward County a heart healthy place to live, work, and play. One Beat Founder, Lon Rosen states, " It is critically important that we pay attention to heart health, especially among the youth in South Florida. Early detection, as well as teaching healthy habits is key to our children's well being. We are honored to support an organization like Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital who does so much good for our community."

To date, Tour de Broward has raised over $500,000, and in the fourth year aims to reach their goal of $300,000. Proceeds from Tour de Broward will be used to purchase state of the art medical equipment and provide emergency assistance to families through their mission to save lives and provide critical care for cardiac patients.

Tour de Broward offers a variety of unique activities that give everyone a chance to participate in the event of their choice. Cyclists can participate in a 50k or 100k ride, runners can sign up for a timed 5k, and families can do the 3K walk/run together. The event also features a Power of Play Kid Zone where children get the chance to participate in sports related activities, interactive games and more.

Tour de Broward will take place at Miramar Regional Park, from 7am to 1pm on Sunday, February 24th.
