Friends of Yemin Orde Receives High Honors for Fiscal Management by Charity Navigator

ROCKVILLE, MD, February 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) For the eighth consecutive year, Friends of Yemin Orde, the U.S. fundraising arm of Yemin Orde Youth Village and Yemin Orde Educational Initiatives, has received an exemplary Four Star Rating from Charity Navigator, the top independent charity evaluator in the U.S. This distinction, earned by only two percent of the charities rated by Charity Navigator, indicates that Friends of Yemin Orde outperforms most other charities in the U.S. for sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency. The Four Star Rating is the highest rating possible on Charity Navigator's rating scale. Yemin Orde Youth Village is located in Mt. Carmel, Israel - south of Haifa. In December 2010, one of the worst wildfires in Israel's history tore through Yemin Orde, destroying 40 percent of the Village; children and staff were evacuated and there were no injuries. Today, a two-year construction project is underway to rebuild and replace buildings and homes damaged or destroyed in the fire. Funding for the rebuilding project comes from the Israeli government, insurance reimbursements and donations from individuals, foundations and groups from around the world.
