Local Girl from Wilmington Delaware Gets Her Big Break Landing a Lead Role in a Short Film

After being scouted at an audition for CASTINGHUB in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Angela Buckery just nailed her first Short Film entitled "The Tea Party".

2013-02-10
CHICAGO, IL, February 10, 2013 (Press-News.org) It was May of 2012 when Angela Buckery and her sister Allison heard about an open call audition for CASTINGHUB being held in Philadelphia. Both of the girls had always had a passion for acting so their mom thought it was a great opportunity to see if they really had some potential. Well, "some potential" was an understatement. When CASTINGHUB director Blake Michael met beautiful 14 year old Angela he was instantly impressed by her determination and drive. After going through first and second auditions the company decided to take both of the sisters on and have never looked back since.

The company CASTINGHUB has revolutionized the way that new talent can get connections in this industry. It is rapidly climbing to be THE "most advanced" central marketplace for auditions, jobs and casting call resources for actors, models, dancers, musicians and production crew. Every day after school Angela was proactive in applying for castings until just recently got an audition for a short film, "The Tea Party". After seeing Angela's audition the writer and director of the film, Serena Reeder, feel in love with her passion and thought she would be great for the part. The storyline is about a mother that shares little in common with her daughter (played by Angela). As both parties struggle to accept the terms of their role in their family, a deeply unsettling tension reveals itself. THE TEA PARTY is a film of darkness and mystery, where reality is bent and explanations linger frighteningly off screen. Not only was it exciting for Angela and her family to see her on film for the first time but it was also a huge learning experience that will hopefully open bigger doors for her in the future.

Acting is not the only thing that Angela exceeds in. Some people would call this amazing teen a "triple threat" meaning that she also thrives in singing and dancing. In her young 14 years Angela has been involved in musical theater, freestyle dance, ballet, modern dance, hip hop and also plays the recorder, guitar and clarinet. She loves sports playing baseball, cheerleading and running have kept her focused and taught her about the importance of determination. With all the temptation in today's society to lead teens down the wrong path it is refreshing to see a girl with such a good head on her shoulders and with such clear direction in reaching her goals. Getting involved with CASTINGHUB gave Angela the connections she needed, the rest was all her.

Other Talent Advisors at CASTINGHUB that helped make the decision to bring Angela on as a member included: Carrie Sykes, Elle Mitchel, Alexis Rosasco, Bernadette Heyer, Taryn Jones and Gloria Giacomoni. CASTINGHUB INC. has an A+ Rating on the BBB

Casting Hub is a social casting search. For further information, please contact (877) 591-7020.
