Forbes Names TOA Technologies One of America's Most Promising Companies

Global provider of cloud-based field service management solutions recognized for recent growth and future potential

2013-02-10
CLEVELAND, OH, February 10, 2013 (Press-News.org) TOA Technologies, the leading global provider of field service management software, was named to Forbes' distinguished annual ranking of America's Most Promising Companies - a list of one hundred privately-held, high-growth companies with bright futures.

To determine the final list of America's Most Promising Companies, Forbes sought a holistic gauge of young, privately-held companies, reviewing multiple variables to pin down the trajectories of each candidate. Forbes reviewed thousands of applications over a six-month period. The final determinations were based on growth (both in sales and hiring), quality of the management team and investors, margins, market size and key partnerships.

"TOA Technologies being recognized by Forbes as one of the elite group of privately-held companies with the potential to shape the future of this country is incredibly exciting," said Yuval Brisker, co-founder and CEO of TOA Technologies. "When my co-founder, Irad Carmi, and I founded TOA, our ambition was to build a revolutionary company that would become one of America's top businesses by solving an acute consumer problem.

"Our 'aha' moment was the realization that the world needed a solution for the embarrassingly common problem of consumers waiting for hours at home for the delivery of a product or service without knowing when it would arrive. The technology we developed predicts exactly when an appointment will occur and communicates that information to customers by email, text, automated voice, Web, Twitter, etc. - providing accurate status information and freeing consumers from being prisoners in their own homes.

"We envisioned a fundamentally unique way to change the status quo and we anticipated the impact of new technologies like the cloud, robust mobile applications and devices, as well as predictive, contextual computing. When applied to field service management the result means service organizations can drive operational efficiencies and enhance the customer experience without compromising either. Today, we are validated not only as a technology leader, but as one of the most promising companies in America."

ETAdirect, TOA Technologies' flagship solution, leverages time-based performance pattern recognition and predictive analytics to help service organizations ensure the right mobile employee arrives at the right appointment on-time, every time. In recognition of its contributions to the field service management market,TOA was recently named a Leader by Gartner in its Magic Quadrant for Field Service Management.

Ranking Methodology for Forbes America's Most Promising Companies
To refine its search for America's Most Promising Companies, Forbes turned to CB Insights, a Manhattan-based data research firm that specializes in assessing private companies. The company's MOSAIC software scans 45,000 sources to measure a company's health. For example, a new distribution deal marks a positive signal while the loss of an executive is a negative signal. MOSAIC gathers those myriad signals into a final score, which Forbes uses as an initial guide in producing the list. After verifying sales numbers, speaking with each company and debating their merits and blemishes, Forbes produces a final ranking.
