ELIZABETH, NJ, February 16, 2013 (Press-News.org) Service station equipment manufacturer, Universal Valve Co., announces that Martin C. Pettesch has been promoted to President. Pettesch has been with Universal for over 25 years. His past positions within Universal Valve include Design Engineer, Operations Manager, Manager of Engineering, Vice President of Engineering, and Executive Vice President. Pettesch, a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology for Mechanical Engineering and the University of Phoenix MBA Program, has over 26 patents related to bettering the service station industry to his name.

The announcement comes from Robert J. Milo, CEO of Universal Valve, that the promotion takes effect immediately. Pettesch worked with Universal founder Joseph V. Milo (JVM) for many years perfecting many industry designs on valves, manholes, and fittings. JVM was a mentor to Pettesch and together they worked to design and engineer many great products still in use today.

Pettesch was honored in 1997 by The New Jersey Inventor's Hall of Fame given the Young Inventor Award for his achievements in industrial design. He has continued this tradition of innovation while serving twice on the Board of Directors for the Petroleum Equipment Institute. His vision and dedication to both Universal Valve and the petroleum equipment industry has provided many ground-breaking patents, inventions, and products.
