DALLAS, TX, February 16, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dallas trial lawyer Bill Chamblee, co-founder of Chamblee, Ryan, Kershaw & Anderson, P.C., has won an important take-nothing verdict in a medical negligence case filed against a Dallas gynecologist/oncologist who faced $825,000 in damages.
In the lawsuit, a Dallas woman alleged that the gynecologist/oncologist injured her while performing a total abdominal hysterectomy. Mr. Chamblee successfully argued that the gynecologist/oncologist performed the procedures properly and exercised proper care in the surgery. The case was decided Feb. 11, 2013, in the 160th District Court in Dallas.
"This case demonstrates the fact that jurors will make the right decision when presented with the information they need in the right way," says Mr. Chamblee, who has won more than 130 jury verdicts or case dismissals for his clients during his 27-year legal career. "My client bravely stood up against these claims and triumphed. Far too often, physicians settle lawsuits that they could win because of their apprehensions about the legal system."
Mr. Chamblee's trial win marks two jury-trial victories in a single week for the attorneys at Chamblee Ryan, who advocate on behalf of a variety of corporate and business clients in courts across Texas and the United States. Since 1998, Mr. Chamblee and the team at Chamblee Ryan have represented more than 500 health care providers in legal battles against medical malpractice charges and have won jury verdicts and secured favorable settlements in a vast majority of the cases they've taken to court.
Mr. Chamblee devotes most of his legal practice to general litigation matters spanning a broad range of expertise, from defending medical malpractice claims to transportation, complex business litigation, and employment law. He has earned selection to the Texas Super Lawyers list each year since 2005, and he has earned an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-review rating Martindale confers. In addition, his equine law practice has been featured in the pages of D CEO magazine.
