Cary Family Dental's Dr. Allan Acton Named to Best Dentist List by Cary Magazine Readers

CARY, NC, February 20, 2013 (Press-News.org) Cary Family Dental is pleased to announce that Allan Acton, DDS, has been named one of the Best Dentists in Western Wake County by readers of Cary Magazine. The 2013 Maggy Awards accepts online votes from readers who vote on their favorites among a variety of categories including services, media, restaurants, sports, and shopping. This marks the fourth time that Dr. Acton has been recognized in this category.

Cary Magazine began recognizing the Best of Western Wake in 2006. Winners in each category are chosen through a two-part nomination process. Voting began in September of last year and after readers nominated their favorite businesses, the field was narrowed to 10 nominees in each category who made the final ballot. Thousands of people voted online in October and the winners were published in the magazine's January 2013 edition.

Cary Family Dental, headed by Dr. Acton, opened its practice to Cary and the surrounding area in September 2003. The practice quickly grew through positive word-of-mouth, large community support initiatives, and Dr. Acton's solid reputation as one of the area's most skilled and trusted dentists in the area, the practice quickly grew in patients and staff. In January 2012, Cary Family Dental moved into a new 10-operatory, state-of-the art space located on the corner of Kildaire Farm Road.

Dr. Acton is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia and completed his advanced dental education residency at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. He continues to build upon his professional expertise by completing implant training with the Triangle Dental Institute in RTP, esthetic training with the Hornbrook Group, and his continued dental training at The Kois Center in Seattle. He remains equally committed to his community and has raised nearly $76,000 for the Smiles For Life Foundation. In addition, Dr. Acton gave back over $45,000 in free dental services during the practice's Dentistry From The Heart event last year. The practice intends to host this event again at their Kildaire Road office April 13th.
