SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND, August 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) Onyx Scientific Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Loftus as Director of New Business Development to help drive the company's ambitious plans.

Craig, based in St. Andrews, takes on the responsibility of developing new business opportunities in the company's two main markets; USA and UK.

With 25 years commercial experience working for such companies as Millipore, Stedim, Merck and GE, Craig has a substantial pedigree working at senior level in several service providers and brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Commenting on his new role, Craig said: "I am excited about working for such a high quality company as Onyx Scientific and am looking forward to leveraging previous relationships."

The appointment is a major boost for the Sunderland-based chemistry specialist and supports its growth plans in chemical services, especially process development, GMP synthesis for clinical phases 1 and 2, and solid-state services.
