NEW YORK, NY, February 22, 2013 (Press-News.org) Grassi & Co. is proud to announce that Eliot Goldberg, CPA, has joined the firm as a Tax Principal and will be working out of our Manhattan office. Eliot possesses more than 20 years of diversified tax experience with his core focus being in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Grassi & Co., Eliot was a Director with D.E. Shaw & Co., L.P. in Manhattan. Throughout his career he has amassed a wealth of experience addressing complex tax issues and practiced audit techniques as well as tax due diligence in acquisitions.

"The addition of Eliot to the tax team will help strengthen our knowledge base and gives us the ability to better serve our clients," says Robert Schachter, CPA, Tax Partner, Grassi & Co.

Eliot is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), and the Wall Street Tax Association.

Eliot completed his undergraduate degree and earned a BS in Accounting from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He then continued his education and received his MBA in Taxation from Bernard Baruch College of the City University of New York.
