2010-10-23
YARDLEY, PA, October 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) Publicis Touchpoint Solutions -- a leading provider of multichannel message delivery solutions for the life sciences industry -- has announced that Rick Keefer, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been selected by PharmaVOICE as one of its "100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences Industry" for the third straight year. Publicis Touchpoint Solutions is a division of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group.

Keefer was selected as one of 35 "Commanders & Chiefs" in the life sciences industry. PharmaVOICE 100 nominations are submitted by readers, and the list was published in the magazine's July/August issue.

For the past year, Keefer has led the comprehensive transformation of the messaging delivery companies of Publicis Strategic Solutions Group into the biopharma industry's first true multichannel message delivery one-stop shop, Publicis Touchpoint Solutions, which was introduced in September.

"Challenging times call for inspirational and bold leadership, and Rick Keefer embodies all the key leadership principles needed to lead in uncertain times and have his companies thrive. He has a knack for turning problems into opportunities," the magazine said.

"For three consecutive years, Keefer has been a PharmaVOICE 100 honoree because of his ability to balance the needs of industry with that of patients; his dedication to improving the industry; his ability to be both a leader and a mentor to his employees; and his willingness to go the extra distance for others," the magazine added.

Keefer's selection also noted his commitment to the advancement of women in the biopharma industry, his longtime membership in the Healthcare Businesswoman's Association, and his service as an advisory board member of the HBA Metro Chapter. The magazine included his spearheading Publicis Touchpoint Solutions' quarterly company volunteer days, and his work with HomeFront, a nonprofit agency caring for the poor and homeless in central New Jersey; Isles, a nonprofit community development and environmental organization; and the National Breast Cancer Association.

Keefer has been in the life sciences and healthcare business since 1975, working with Biovail Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, Pharmacia, and A.H. Robins Company. He joined Publicis in 2006.
