Clear appliances (such as Invisalign) use a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth.  You can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing is more easily accomplished than with braces.  The aligners have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.  Though many patients have been thrilled with their aligner results, Invisalign may not be for everyone.

Clear Braces

For those patients who prefer their braces to be less conspicuous, Huyser Orthodontics offers an aesthetic bracket.  The plastic brackets are made of a composite material that is translucent as well as stain and wear resistant.  Unlike ceramic brackets that can fracture the enamel when removed, plastic brackets are removed similar to metal brackets.  Also, plastic brackets do not wear the enamel of opposing teeth like ceramic brackets.

Metal

Metal braces have become much smaller since the earlier days of orthodontics.  The micro-arch braces used at Huyser Orthodontics facilitate hygiene and minimize patient discomfort from irritation. The "space-age" nickel titanium wires placed in the braces are super-elastic and allow for easier alignment of crowded teeth with less discomfort
