DUBLIN, IRELAND, March 01, 2013 (Press-News.org) Managing Director of Mahon Enterprises Ltd. Darren Mahon reveals that Enterprise Ireland organised an Irish exhibition stand to showcase Irish technology at the world's largest mobile technology trade fair.  Twenty five companies were exhibiting while a further 45 attended the congress. Altogether attending the conference there was over 1,400 exhibitors and 65,000 visitors.

Darren comments, "The Irish mobile technology industry is young, innovative and punches well above its weight compared to the size of the country.  Irish mobile companies have already proven themselves and will continue to do so by selling innovative products and services to global companies. This puts Ireland in a positive position going forward that Irish business and Irish branding is becoming well known across Europe and the world."

As a huge technology fanatic, Darren Mahon reports that mobile phones are far more than a mere communication device nowadays. Mobiles now serve as our books, health monitors, payment transfer devices, social connectors and tour guides, giving a huge market for companies to get involved by setting up applications to be downloaded on phones. Darren comments "Companies working in this industry should strive to endorse their ideas and an application as much as possible as this is a huge selling market at the moment".

Darren reports on other technology which was being exhibited: Sony unveiled a new tablet, the Xperia Tablet Z, which claims to be the lightest, thinnest 10-inch tablet yet. Nokia introduced its new Lumia phones, widening the appeal of the Windows Phones. The Lumia 720 is being aimed at the younger generation.
