TAMPA, FL, March 02, 2013 (Press-News.org) The First Baptist Church of Tampa will provide volunteers and monetary donations to Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. to help wash the clothes of those less fortunate. The Laundry Project will be held on Sunday, March 3 from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Big Wash West Tampa, 1724 W Main St. Tampa, FL 33607.
This is the first time that First Baptist Church of Tampa is partnering with Current. The church will be the financial and fundraising sponsor for the Laundry Project and will provide all of the volunteers.
"It is really refreshing to see so many organizations reaching out to offer their assistance to us and supporting our mission," said Current's Founder and President Jason Sowell. "Volunteering has multiple benefits; not only do they have an opportunity to serve the community, but they also get a chance to promote a cause they deem important. We are grateful for the support of the First Baptist Church of Tampa and their fundraising efforts for this project."
The Laundry Project always seeks donations of quarters (rolls of $10), coloring books, crayons, laundry baskets and laundry detergent. Donations can be brought to the event on the morning of Sunday, March 3 or contact Jason Sowell at 727.537.9082.
