Atiz Innovation Selects S&A Cherokee as PR Agency of Record

Full-service communications firm to lead strategy for launch of company's most recent product, Scandock

2013-03-02
CARY, NC, March 02, 2013 (Press-News.org) Los Angeles-based Atiz Innovation, a pioneer in book digitization hardware, has recently selected S&A Cherokee as its public relations agency of record. S&A Cherokee will lead the communications strategy for the launch of Atiz's most recent product, Scandock, which allows users to take professional-grade scans from their smartphone.

Soon after being established in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2005, Atiz launched the innovative BookDrive line of professional book scanning products. Since 2006, BookDrives have been placed in over a thousand organizations ranging from the world's most prominent academic libraries, universities and service bureaus worldwide.

Atiz's most recent product is Scandock, a PC-free scanner that utilizes smartphones to capture and store professional-grade, high-resolution images. The Scandock app, available for free on iOS platforms (soon to be released to Android), provides settings to autocorrect and produce true-color scans. Scandock's sleek design features an aluminum base, silicone flat mat for document placement, crystal plexiglass neck, dual-track lighting arms, and switchable iPhone docks or universal smartphone docks. The product recently surpassed its $100,000 fundraising goal on the funding platform Kickstarter.

"As office technology continues to evolve and move away from conventional multi-function printers, we'll be seeing more of companies like Atiz working to revolutionize the industry landscape and take the document digitization process mobile," said Chuck Norman, APR, owner/principal at S&A Cherokee. "Atiz has a proven track record of launching successful products, and we are looking forward to working with the company to help them become a leader in scanning technology."
