FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, March 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) In her second year as the Beauty Director for the Cotton 24 Hour Fashion Show, DeShawn Hatcher is faced with the challenge of orchestrating a team of 50, creating over 250 hair and makeup looks, and staying awake for a full 24 hours to execute the runway show.
The show, which takes place on March 1st at 8pm at the intersection of Ocean Drive and 8th Street in Miami Beach will feature celebrity appearances by Bill & Giuliana Rancic, Louise Roe, Michael Yo, Camilla Belle, and Lauren Conrad. Music from DJ Cassidy, DJ Irie, CC Sheffield, Jessica Who?, DJ Ross One, and DJ Aulden Brown will keep the crowd's energy up as the models take the runway.
Additionally, Hatcher's makeup looks are sponsored by Inglot, who will be featured for the first 12 hours of the show and NYX, who will take the stage from 8am through the finale. Inglot's presentation will showcase date night and party looks, and lighten up as the night fades into early morning, while NYX will present retro and playful daytime looks that even an at-home makeup artist can achieve.
When describing her inspiration for the beauty portion of the show, Hatcher explains, "I'm inspired by men and women who wear cotton, and showing through the power of hair and makeup that you can enhance a cotton outfit just by adding a great lipstick and a fabulous bun. Cotton creates an amazing canvas, and the right hair and makeup takes it up a notch."
In addition to the event live streaming through http://cotton24hours.thefabricofourlives.com, DeShawn will also feature looks from the runway and tutorials on her blog, http://deshawnlovesmakeup.blogspot.com.
