DALLAS, TX, March 07, 2013 (Press-News.org) Partner Celeste R. Yeager, Vice Chair of the Hospitality Industry Team at Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, is slated to deliver an informative presentation at the 5th Bi-Annual Federal Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Conference. The event will be held May 2-3, 2013, at the Westin Hotel in New Orleans.
Ms. Yeager will be co-presenting a program titled "Internal Investigations/HR Audits" at the May 3 session. The importance of conducting internal investigations is increasing in the current heightened regulatory environment, with internal investigations serving as a tool for diagnosing compliance issues and ensuring compliance, remediation purposes, and routine use in litigation and discovery.
In her presentation, Ms. Yeager will cover the roles of parties involved in investigations; the necessary considerations for cases involving securities regulation, insider trading, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and UK Bribery Act, fraud, theft of trade secrets, and other areas; and how to best prepare for issues related to document retention programs and privacy protections.
The conference, which offers an opportunity to network and socialize with colleagues from across the country, will include presentations on other current labor and employment legal issues, including ERISA tips and EEOC enforcement.
